Google Drive

Connect Google Drive when Assistant needs files that are not already in a Nomic project.

What it can do

• Search files and list recent items.
• Read file content, metadata, ownership, and sharing permissions.
• Create new files and copy existing ones.

Setup and security

• You sign in with your own Google account. Assistant can reach only the files that account can open.
• Tools that change data ask for approval before they run. The Approval column under Supported tools shows each tool's setting.
• Nomic cannot edit, move, share, or delete existing Drive files through this server.
• Until Google approves Nomic's app, signing in shows a Google MCP access requires whitelisting dialog. Email support@nomic.ai to have your account whitelisted for all Google MCP servers.
• This server is separate from the Google Drive integration under Settings → Integrations, which syncs files into Nomic projects.
