Uploads

Uploads are the fastest way to give Assistant context. Drop files directly into a conversation or upload them to Files for persistent reuse across sessions.

Uploading in a Conversation

You can attach files and images directly in the Assistant input bar:

  1. Click the attachment icon in the input bar, or drag and drop files onto the conversation
  2. Select one or more files from your computer
  3. Ask your question — Assistant will use the attached files as context for that conversation

Files uploaded this way are available for the duration of the conversation. To reuse them later, upload to Files or a Project instead.

Uploading to Files

Upload files to Files to make them persistently available:

  1. Go to Files in the sidebar
  2. Click Upload and choose File upload or Folder upload, or drag and drop directly
  3. Uploaded files appear in your file list and can be attached to any future conversation

Files uploaded to Files can be tagged, organized into folders, and attached to Projects.

Uploading to a Project

You can also upload files directly into a Project's context:

  1. Open a Project and go to Project Settings → Project Context
  2. Attach files or folders — they become available to all conversations in that project
  3. Teammates with project access can use the same files

Supported File Types

Uploads support the same file types as the rest of the platform:

  • PDF
  • Microsoft Word (.docx)
  • Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx)
  • Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Images (.png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp, .gif)

See Files — Supported File Types for the full list.
