Drawing Reviews
Nomic reviews drawing sets and returns verified findings in a Drawing Review table, with a PDF markup on the cited sheet for each finding. Markups are standard PDF callout annotations, so they open natively in Bluebeam Revu and other annotation-aware viewers.
Attach a set to a conversation and ask for a review. No workflow to set up, and no standards document required to start.
How a review runs
- Survey — Assistant reads the sheet index and identifies files, page counts, and disciplines before hunting for anything.
- Scope — It reports what it found and asks what the review should optimize for (constructability, coordination, a single discipline, or a balanced pass). It also offers Light (a sample), Thorough (full set), or Comprehensive (every discipline). Cost is called out before a comprehensive pass starts. See Review types.
- Review — It loads its built-in checklists for the disciplines in scope. On Light/Thorough it splits the work into issue classes and dispatches one sub-agent per class. On Comprehensive it first explores each discipline, then dispatches discipline-specific agents that hunt many classes. Each candidate finding is verified before it lands in the table.
- Results — Findings stream into the table as they are confirmed, each with a drawing citation, the check it came from, severity, and discipline.
Built-in checklists cover architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, civil, fire protection, telecommunications, and landscape sheets, plus universal sheet-wide checks (cross-references, coordination, constructability, missing information).
Steer the next pass with a follow-up prompt — "focus on issues my GC would raise as RFIs" or "go deeper on the door and finish schedules." Assistant keeps the session context and adds issue classes without redoing covered work.

Bring your own standards
Attach your firm's standards, a QA/QC checklist, past markups, or received RFIs and ask Assistant to review against them. It applies your standards on top of its built-in checks, or on their own if you ask. Every finding cites the check or standards section it came from.

Code and accessibility checks
Requirement hunts — accessibility and ADA, egress, fire and life safety, occupancy and construction type — need cited code text, so they run through Code Compliance with Codes Search enabled. Ask for them in the same session and the findings land in the same table with a code citation on each row.
Assistant never asserts a clearance, slope, height, count, or code section from memory. Without Codes Search it will tell you to enable the capability rather than guess.
When to package a review as a workflow
Chat is the fastest path to a first review. Move a review into a workflow when you want to lock it down for a team:
- Everyone runs the same instructions and gets comparable output.
- Firm standards stay attached as permanent context instead of being re-uploaded.
- Reviewers fill a file-request form instead of composing a prompt.
- Runs use Extra High effort or launch from the Agent API.
