How to Use​

To start a submittal review in Nomic, follow these steps:

Connect Project to ACC to Sync Submittals, Specs and Drawings or Upload Them Locally

Ensure your project data is available to Nomic:

Set up the ACC or Bentley integration to sync submittals, specifications, and drawings

Upload Project Files

Upload submittals, specifications, and drawings directly

Go to the Submittal Workflow in the Workflows Tab

Navigate to the Workflows tab and select the Submittal Review workflow. This pre-built workflow is configured to:

  • Compare submittals against project specifications
  • Check submittals against project drawings
  • Flag discrepancies and missing information
  • Generate a structured review report

Fill in Your Documents

When you start the submittal review workflow, you'll be prompted to:

  • Select the submittal - Choose the contractor submittal document you want to review
  • Reference project specifications - Ensure the workflow has access to relevant specification documents
  • Reference project drawings - Include any drawings that relate to the submittal

The workflow will automatically analyze the submittal against your project requirements and flag any issues.

Inspect the Output Table with the Flagged Items in the Submittal

After the workflow completes, review the output table that shows:

  • Flagged items - Issues found in the submittal that need attention
  • Compliance status - Whether items meet project specifications
  • Missing information - Required details that are absent from the submittal
  • Citations - References to specific specification sections or drawing details

The AI provides a preliminary approval recommendation for A/E review and confirmation. Use this structured output to quickly identify what needs to be addressed in the submittal review process.
