When Egnyte is connected to Nomic, Assistant can search and reason over documents stored in the folders your admin has synced. You only see files you have access to in Egnyte.
What Assistant Can Access
Assistant has access to:
- Documents and PDFs — Full text content for search and reference
- File metadata — Names, creators, and modification dates
- Folder structure — How files are organized in your Egnyte account
- Version history — Assistant can compare different versions of the same file
Your admin selects which Egnyte folders to sync. Assistant respects Egnyte permissions—you only get answers from files you can access.
What You Can Do
With Egnyte context, you can ask Assistant to:
- Search across projects — "Find all references to fire-rated assemblies in our past projects"
- Reference firm standards — "What does our standard detail say about flashing?"
- Compare versions — "What changed between revision 3 and revision 4 of this drawing?"
- Find specific details — "Where do we specify the insulation R-value for exterior walls?"
Egnyte is a file storage integration. If your firm uses Egnyte without ACC or Bentley, your admin may tag files to associate them with specific projects or workflows. Tagged files enable Active Project Research, Code Compliance, and Automated Submittal Review.
