Delete your Individual account

Self-serve account deletion is available on the Individual plan at app.nomic.ai. If you sign in at <org>.drive.nomic.ai, your firm owns the account — see Business and Enterprise.

Deleting your account is permanent. If you only want to stop paying, cancel the subscription instead.

How to delete your account

  1. Sign in at app.nomic.ai.
  2. Open Settings → General.
  3. In Danger zone, click Delete account.
  4. Read the confirmation. Type delete my account, then click Delete account.

You are signed out immediately. The account can no longer be used.

If you do not see Delete account, you are on an organization instance, not Individual. Use your firm's URL (<org>.drive.nomic.ai) and ask an admin — or follow the Business and Enterprise steps below.

What happens when you delete

Deletion cannot be undone.

  • Access is revoked right away. Signing in again shows that the account is scheduled for deletion.
  • Any active Individual subscription is canceled immediately and will not renew.
  • Unused AI credits are lost.
  • Your files, chats, workflows, and other account data are then permanently erased. Nomic completes that erasure within 30 days.

Nomic keeps billing records such as invoices, which it is required to retain.

Cancel instead of delete

If you want to stop the monthly charge but keep your files and chats:

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Cancel the subscription.

Access continues until the current period ends. Files stay. Leftover on-demand usage stays until it expires. Monthly usage stops renewing.

See Individual billing and usage.

Business and Enterprise

Organization members cannot delete their own accounts. The firm owns membership, files, and workspace data on <org>.drive.nomic.ai.

  • Leave or lose access — ask an organization admin to disable you in Admin → Members. That blocks sign-in and API keys and frees a seat. Directory-managed users are removed from Nomic when they are removed from the company directory (Entra, Okta, or similar).
  • Delete personal data — ask your admin, then email support@nomic.ai if you need a formal deletion request. Company project files and sessions stay with the organization.

Admins: to offboard someone, disable them in Admin → Members (or remove them from the assigned directory group). Do not ask them to create an Individual account and delete it — that does not remove their organization membership or company data.
