What Nomic can and cannot see
Nomic is designed to work with the files and context your organization chooses to make available. It does not give users access to files they could not otherwise view.
What Nomic can see
Nomic can use:
- Files you upload directly
- Files synced from connected systems
- Files attached to a project, workflow, or Assistant session
- Metadata and permissions needed to make integrations work
- Workflow instructions and context files
Assistant and workflows use the context available to the current user and task.
What Nomic cannot see
Nomic should not give a user access to:
- Files outside the selected sync scope
- Files the user cannot access in the source system
- Private files or sessions that have not been shared
- Projects where the user is not a member
- External systems that have not been connected
If a teammate sees different results, they may have different project access, source-system permissions, or attached context.
Customer data and model providers
Nomic does not use customer data to train general-purpose public models. Some AI work may use approved model providers, but customer data is handled under Nomic's data processing and retention controls.
If your organization has specific data handling requirements, ask your admin or Nomic account team which settings are enabled for your tenant.
